AMERICAN CITIZENS HAVE NO RIGHTS NEAR AMERICAN BORDERS SAYS THE BORDER PATROL

BORDER PATROL AGENTS READILY ADMIT IT, ADMIT THAT THE WORDS "YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS HERE!" ARE INDEED TOSSED AT AMERICAN CITIZENS TODAY, NOW.
THAT PHRASE IS REPEATED OFTEN, TELLING HUNDREDS TO THOUSANDS OF ROUTINELY-STOPPED AMERICAN CITIZENS EACH WEEK THAT THEY HAVE NO RIGHTS WITHIN 100 MILES OF AMERICAN BORDERS.
SOME LANDOWNERS HAVE BEEN ACCOSTED BY AGENTS ON THEIR OWN RANCHES, FARMS, HOMESTEADS AND TREATED LIKE WOULD-BE "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS".

BUT MANY HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THAT, HAVE DECIDED TO FIGHT BACK, TRY TO STOP THE BULLYING AND THE WAY AMERICANS ARE TREATED IN AMERICA BY TOO MANY BORDER AGENTS.
BORDER RESIDENTS ON THE AMERICAN SIDE HAVE NOW LAUNCHED AN EFFORT TO END THE FREQUENT STOPS, SEARCHES, RACIAL PROFILING AND GENERAL HARASSMENT THEY LIVE WITH EVERY DAY.

WHILE THE TEA ROOM HAS WRITTEN BEFORE ON THE "CONSTITUTION-FREE ZONE", THAT NO-MAN'S LAND IN WHICH NO U.S. CITIZEN CAN CLAIM CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, A LARGER AND LARGER GROUP OF AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE SPEAKING OUT AND MAKING THEIR PLIGHT KNOWN.
[SEE ALSO THIS BLOG POST HERE...]
"BIG BROTHER" HAS CONTROL OF THE BORDER, AND AMERICAN CITIZENS THERE ARE VIOLATED AS FREQUENTLY AS THE WIND CHANGES. THEY ARE TREATED WITH DISRESPECT, SUSPICION AND OFTEN CONTEMPT.
THE STORIES OF SUCH ENCOUNTERS ARE ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND FILMED/DOCUMENTED ORDEALS OF AMERICANS STOPPED WITHIN THAT 100 MILES ZONE ARE SPRINKLED ALL OVER YOUTUBE.
MAYBE YOU CAN BELIEVE YOUR OWN EYES?

“You have no rights here!”
MAR. 14, 2014
On December 8, 2013 Border Patrol Sector Chief Manuel Padilla Jr. was invited to receive the petition at the check point. When residents arrived they did not find Mr. Padilla, but rather a closed check point. A lively “family friendly” rally ensued. Arivacans celebrated a brief moment of an interrogation-free highway to their homes but as importantly, the community celebrated their coming out to recover some measure of voice in their community and their lives. The posters that day dramatized Arivaca’s spirit: “Check Points Divide Us,” “Do You Feel Safer?” “Make checkpoints a thing of the past.” A four-year-old was seen toting around one that simply said: “Has any checkpoint, anywhere, made this a better world?”
American citizens, born here, living here without those words for centuries, now hear it every day.
Almost anyone traveling in this area of America, along American borders but especially along the Mexican border,  will experience a sense of violation of rights that many borderlands residents have when encountering the 71 permanent or tactical checkpoints scattered across the southwestern U.S. These off-border sites were condoned by the U.S. Supreme Court more than 40 years ago. Stops were intended to be brief, and limited to verifying residence status. They were to be situated within a reasonable distance from the border.
100 MILES INLAND FROM EACH BORDER, EACH SHORELINE IS HARDLY A "REASONABLE DISTANCE, IS IT? 100 MILES? 100 MILES THAT PUTS 2/3rds OF AMERICANS, TWO-THIRDS, INTO A CATEGORY OF "NON-CITIZENS", WITHOUT CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS... AND OUR SUPREME COURT, OUR CONGRESS, OUR PRESIDENT, OUR LAWMAKERS ARE OKAY WITH THAT!
ARE YOU OKAY WITH THAT?
DID YOU VOTE ON THIS?
WE NEVER GOT A VOTE ON THIS.
WE NEVER HAD A SAY.
SOMEONE, 40 YEARS AGO, DECIDED TO CREATE THESE ZONES AND CONGRESS AND THE COURTS ALLOWED IT!
INSIDE OUR OWN BORDERS, WE BECAME TARGETS FOR STOP/SEARCH/SEIZURE AND NO LEGAL RIGHTS TO SAY NO, TO REFUSE. IF WE VENTURE LESS THAN 100 MILES TOWARD ANY AMERICAN BORDER, WE ARE TREATED THE SAME AS ANY FOREIGNER TRYING TO ENTER THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY. WE CAN BE TREATED THE SAME AS ANY "POTENTIAL TERRORIST"!

AND WHAT CASE MADE THIS POSSIBLE?
<<a Supreme Court case dating back to 1976 provides the authority for these stops:

In the 1976 case U.S. v. Martinez-Fuerte, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that contra the Fourth Amendment, the government can set up roadblock checkpoints within 100 miles of the nation’s borders in order to check for illegal immigrants and smuggling.  The Court ruled that if the stops are brief, limited to that purpose, and not fishing expeditions, the minimal invasion to personal privacy is outweighed by the government’s interest in protecting the border.
WHO WAS PRESIDENT IN 1976?
GERALD FORD WAS.
CARTER BEAT HIM SOUNDLY IN NOVEMBER OF 1976, BUT SUPREME PUPPET FORD WAS IN WHEN THAT SUPREME COURT RULING CAME DOWN, THEN CARTER CAME ABOARD AND GAVE US THE ABOMINATION WE KNOW OF TODAY AS FEMA.  HE ALSO BEGAN THE "BIG SUCK-UP" TO SAUDI ARABIA, CARTER DID.

FACT REMAINS THAT FOR OVER 40 YEARS, EVERY PRESIDENT AND EVERY CONGRESS HAS UPHELD AND CONTINUED THIS "NO CONSTITUTION APPLIES" ZONES, AND AMERICANS HAVE DONE NOTHING TO RAISE A CRY AGAINST THEM.
THE PRICE OF FREEDOM IS ETERNAL VIGILANCE, NON-STOP WATCHING FROM THE WALLS, AMERICANS!
FOR OVER 40 YEARS, WE ALL FAILED TO KEEP FREEDOM IN OUR HANDS, WE GAVE IT AWAY.
WE ARE GIVING IT AWAY EVEN AS I TYPE THIS.

“You have no rights here!” barked a U.S. Border Patrol agent to a resident of Arivaca, AZ who was passing through a Customs and Border Protection checkpoint 23 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border.
This remark confirms a sense of violation of rights that many borderlands residents have when encountering one of the 71 permanent or tactical checkpoints scattered across the southwestern U.S. These off-border sites were condoned by the U.S. Supreme Court more than 40 years ago. Stops were intended to be brief, and limited to verifying residence status. They were to be situated within a reasonable distance from the border. This distance was determined to be 100 miles from any external boundary and today roughly encompasses two-thirds of the U.S. population. People in the southwest call this region the “constitution-free zone.”
Arivaca, ARIZONA is just one community that finds itself in the heart of a migration corridor as a result of U.S. border enforcement policy which has funneled migrant-travelers into harsher, more remote desert terrain. Over the last two decades residents have witnessed the human toll of this policy. Now finding the bodies of deceased migrants in the arroyos around town is not a rare event. Residents have also seen a marked increase in the number of people walking around and through town. Usually these travelers are exhausted, hungry and many are in urgent need of medical care.
While Arivacans do not necessarily agree about immigration policy, the common response to migrants has been to offer food and water as they pass through. What has caused resentment, however, has been the militarization of their community in response to this flow of migrants. The influx of Border Patrol agents with their helicopters, drones, surveillance towers, ground sensors and check points has substantially altered the lives of every Arivacan. Many say they do not feel safer for this intrusion into their lives. In fact, people feel less secure. Arivacans say they are living in a war zone and they are not atypical of the many US communities near the Mexican border.
As people listened to one another they discovered a common sense of the negative impact Border Patrol’s presence was having on their daily lives and their community. Check points became a focus. Many had experienced harassment, racial profiling and unwarranted queries and searches by agents at the check points. They noted the loss of business in town and a decline in real estate values. They realized that their beloved community, Arivaca, once a popular tourist attraction, had come to be perceived as a dangerous place to visit. After all people now have to cross through a BP checkpoint to enter town from any direction.
Conversation led to action. Last July, a campaign focusing on the most heavily used check point began to take shape. After extensive meetings a petition to close the seven-year-old “temporary” checkpoint was initiated. More than a third of the community signed on, including 11 local small business owners. Hundreds of signatures were also received from people who live in the region.
Next, residents requested a meeting with Mr. Padilla within 30 days to address their concerns. When a month passed without reply, a vigil was held at the Border Patrol headquarters in Tucson to announce the establishment of a citizen monitoring of the check point to document harassment and violation of rights. Within weeks Mr. Padilla responded saying the check point would remain open. Period.
On February 26 the inaugural observation of the check point began. Three dozen residents and supporters turned out—and at least as many Border Patrol agents and sheriff’s deputies. Six Arivacans took their positions with cameras and clipboards in hand. The lines of creative tension were drawn. While arrests were threatened, none occurred. The community held forth and plans to continue the monitoring until the check point is closed.
The long term vision is an end to all suffering and death in the desert, an end to all border militarization, humane immigration policy, and a restoration of authentic security to Arivaca and the entire borderlands for residents and visitors alike. After all “Our Communities Are Not War zones!”

WELL, DID YOU KNOW THAT THE 'PUBLICANS UP ON THE HILL WANT ALL OF AMERICA TO COME UNDER THE NO-CONSTITUTION APPLIES ZONES?
Most of us are completely unaware that in many states ALEC's model legislation on immigration and illegal aliens doesn't even have to be proposed or passed.  For several U.S. states there is already federal initiatives in place that allow for law enforcement - state and federal authorities - to set-up "check-points" to stop and inspect papers, vehicles, personal belongings and if anyone does not have the proper papers, take them into custody.  Even before SB 1070 87.88% of Arizona citizens fell under this initiative as did 100% of Florida.  Apparently ALEC sees real money in covering the rest of the U.S. with this style of anti-Constitutional activity.
Everyone is subject to these "spot-checks" or "Border-Patrol" stops. For a look at the actual interactive map detailing this U.S. Constitution free-zone the provided link:

PAY ATTENTION TO THESE NUMBERS, PLEASE!
"Using data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, it has been determined that nearly 2/3 of the entire US population (197.4 million people) live within 100 miles of the US land and coastal borders.
The government is assuming extraordinary powers to stop and search individuals within this zone. This is not just about the border: This " Constitution-Free Zone" includes most of the nation's largest metropolitan areas."

ALMOST 200 MILLION AMERICAN CITIZENS LIVE FULL-TIME AND/OR WORK INSIDE THESE ZONES!

BUT THERE IS MONEY TO BE MADE AND PLENTY IN THE BUSINESS OF "ILLEGAL ALIEN DETENTION".
<<During the formative years of Homeland Security we had key people in positions of power and influence who had links to or association with ALEC.  We have two ALEC corporate members that were profiting off of illegal immigrant detention...
Former Congressman Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania.  Ridge is an  ALEC alumni.  Following his tenure as a Congressional Representative, Ridge became the Governor of PA., then an Assistant to President Bush for Homeland Security and then was appointed by Bush to serve as the first Secretary of Homeland Security.  In this capacity Ridge appeared and spoke at ALEC Events.
With new focus upon "immigrants as possible terrorists and terrorism" it was an easy step for Ridge and associates to implement the Constitution Free-Zone initiative IN 2005, UNDER G.W. BUSH, that could be used to funnel money into the coffers of CCA and Geo while ALEC got busy on writing model legislation such as No Sanctuary Cities for "Illegal Immigrants Act", "Immigration Law Enforcement Act" and a "Resolution to Enforce Our Immigration Laws and Secure Our Border Act".

Next time you or a family or friend is stopped by one of these random "Border checks" far inside our borders, you can thank ALEC and their influential Alumni holding positions of power and authority within the federal government for being asked to submit to illegal searches and demands to "show us your papers"!  Keep in mind that for each person detained and turned over to CCA or Geo through these efforts cost us as much as $200.00 per day per detainee in tax dollars.  Think this isn't big business to ALEC, CCA and Geo?  Last year they earned a combined $2.9 billion off of incarceration and over 50% of federal prison sentences handed down were for immigration related offenses...and of course CCA and Geo hold the most contracts to house such prisoners in their privately run facilities.
The foregoing issues are residuals left over from the Bush years - but remain in place under President Obama.  President H.W. Bush made an appearance at a 1992 ALEC event, giving a speech.
1992: Joining the President at the head table were Ambassador Holly Coors, Senator Ray Powers (CO), Mr. Allen Auger of Coors Brewing Company, Incoming National Chairman Senator William J. Raggio (NV), ALEC Executive Director Samuel A. Bruneffi, …  Major speakers included: President George Bush; Secretary of the Interior Manuel Lujan; Secretary of Education Lamar Alexander; Secretary of Transportation Andrew Card; Secretary of Health and Human Service Louis Sullivan; Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Jack Kemp, Deputy Attorney General George Terwilleger.

SINCE THEN CORPORATE AMERICA HAS LOVED THE NO-CONSTITUTION ZONES, WHERE "THE LAW" CAN CHANGE IN A HEARTBEAT , WHERE AMERICAN CITIZENS CAN BE HELD, THREATENED, VIOLATED FOR AS LONG AS ANYONE IN CHARGE PLEASES...AND WHERE DETENTION IS BIG BUSINESS.

RESIDENTS WITHIN THOSE ZONES REALLY DO LIVE UNDER AN IRON FIST, ONE THAT CAN COME DOWN ON THEM AT ANY MOMENT, AND IT'S ALL LEGAL...LEGAL, BUT NOT CONSTITUTIONAL...UNLESS YOU ASK THE SUPREME COURT, OUR CONGRESS, OUR "PREZ", AND THOSE "NICE" BORDER GUARDS.

AHHH, AMERICA, LAND OF THE ....HEEE-HEEE-HEEE...ANYTHING BUT FREE!!!
IT ISN'T REALLY FUNNY, IS IT, FOLKS?
BUT WE ALLOW IT...
YEAH, WELCOME TO AMERICA....BIG BROTHER HAS US BY THE "SHORT-HAIRS" AND WE JUST SUCK THAT RIGHT UP LIKE THE GOOD LITTLE BUTTERCUPS THAT WE HAVE BECOME.
TAKE AWAY OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, CONFISCATE OUR COMPUTERS, CELLPHONES, CAMERAS 99.9 MILES FROM THE BORDER?
THANK YOU!
WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE THEM, HOMELAND SECURITY, MR. BORDER PATROL OFFICER.
HERE, TAKE MY FIRSTBORN CHILD AS WELL...
YUP...

ROAD TRIP TO THE BORDERS....ANYONE?
SAFE TRIP!
