FUKUSHIMA CORIUM ESCAPED CONTAINMENT

JAPAN'S EX-PRIME MINISTER NAOTO KAN REVEALED IN MARCH, 2014, THAT HE HAD LEARNED FAIRLY EARLY AFTER THE TSUNAMI THAT REACTOR 1 AT THE DAIICHI FACILITY COMPLETELY MELTED DOWN IN ABOUT 5 HOURS AFTER THE TSUNAMI.

"Only 4 hours after the earthquake occurred [...] it experienced meltdown in the reactor one. And even through the container of thickness 20 centimeters, there was actually a hole being burned through, and melted fuel had been actually leaking through to the outside of the container. And now we know this information, that this was happening at 7:00 p.m. approximately on that day. But at the time, none of this information was accurately conveyed to me. And this was actually the first incident of an accident where a hole in the pressure container had been created. [THREE MILE ISLAND's reactor] wasn’t gone to the extent of actually having a hole in the container and leaking through in this way. So the Fukushima accident was the first accident to actually melt down in this kind of way. And it was a situation very close to what we call perhaps the 'China syndrome'.”

ALMOST THE FULL TRUTH, ALMOST.

ACTUALLY, IT'S BEING SAID THAT A 'CHINA SYNDROME' CAN'T REALLY DESCRIBE WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN JAPAN BECAUSE OF THE MULTIPLE REACTOR FAILURES AND THE MISSING CORIUM!

CHERNOBYL'S CORIUM NEVER HIT GROUNDWATER!
FUKUSHIMA'S FACILITY HAS 3 REACTORS (POSSIBLY FOUR?) WHOSE MELTED FUEL HAS DEFINITELY COME IN CONTACT WITH GROUNDWATER...3, AS IN THREE!

JAPAN ALSO HAS A HYDRAZINE PROBLEM IN A VERY BIG WAY, BUT MORE ON THAT FURTHER DOWN IN THE BLOG.

FROM 'JAPAN NEWS',
“The world has never seen a case like Fukushima’s, where nuclear fuel melted and fell through,” IRID technology advisory committee member and University of Tokyo School of Engineering, Prof. Hajime Asama said.

[ARCHIVED <HERE> ]
At the No. 1 reactor, computer simulations and other assessments suggest that most if not all nuclear fuel inside its pressure vessel has melted through and pooled at the bottom of the containment vessel underneath. As for the other two reactors, some melted fuel is still thought to remain in their pressure vessels.

DRYING FUEL POOLS
According to ultrasound readings, water levels at the No. 3 reactor are around 5.5 meters to 6.5 meters — more than twice as deep as the roughly 2.8 meters seen at the No. 1 reactor. This indicates the floor that robots were able to navigate at the No. 1 reactor would be submerged [in reactor #3].

Muon tomography scan of Reactor #1.
The corium, if present in the RPV, should be visible.
IT IS NOT VISIBLE ANYWHERE.

http://www.japantoday.com/category/national/view/nearly-all-fuel-in-fukushima-no-1-reactor-has-melted-says-tepco

"...the most concrete evidence yet the fuel had dropped to the bottom of No. 1 reactor."

THEY TELL US (AND HOPE WE BELIEVE?) THAT THE CORIUM IS FALLEN INTO CONCRETE, SO ALL IS WELL.

NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

WE CAN FAIRLY SAFELY ASSUME THE CORIUM HIT THE CONCRETE BELOW REACTOR 1 AND WAS WELL INTO MELTING THROUGH THAT WHEN WE SAW THE INITIAL EXPLOSIONS (BECAUSE THAT IS A TYPICAL HYDROGEN EXPLOSION, A REACTION CREATED BY THE STEAM OFF THE CONCRETE AS  "Calcium carbonate is decomposed, producing carbon dioxide and calcium oxide. Water and carbon dioxide penetrate the corium mass, exothermically oxidizing the non-oxidized metals present in the corium and producing gaseous hydrogen and carbon monoxide; large amounts of hydrogen can be produced", and BOOM!)

BY LOOKING AT ANOTHER ACCIDENT IN WHICH THAT HAPPENED IN AN IDENTICAL REACTOR, WHERE IT TOOK THAT MOLTEN FUEL LESS THAN 15 HOURS TO MELT THROUGH  700 CENTIMETERS ( 22 FEET) OF CONCRETE, WE CAN PERHAPS DETERMINE HOW BIG A LIE TEPCO, ET AL, HAVE BEEN TELLING US FOR 4 YEARS!

YOU CAN READ ALL ABOUT THAT ACCIDENT IN A GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT <HERE>.
THERE IS ALSO AN ARTICLE IN A TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA NEWSPAPER THAT DESCRIBES HOW IT HAPPENED <HERE>.

THE FUKUSHIMA REACTORS COULD NOT BE OF A WORSE DESIGN....THE GENERAL ELECTRIC 'MARK 1', THE VERY SAME REACTOR MODEL THAT CAUSED THE BROWNS FERRY ACCIDENT IN MARCH,1975, NEAR ATHENS, ALABAMA.
AND, LIKE AT THE DAIICHI PLANT, THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER.

IN A PDF ENTITLED "Impact of Core-Concrete Interactions in the Mark I Containment Drywell on Containment Integrity and Failure of the Drywell Liner"
(FOUND <HERE>) WE LEARN:

"...results from the SASA program analyses of the Mark I BWR have indicated that high temperatures in the drywell during ex-vessel core-concrete interactions may result in containment failure due to seal degradation prior to gross failure due to over-pressurization. It has become evident that a third mode of drywell failure must be considered under these specified accident conditions, in addition
to the gross over-pressure failure and the leak-before-failuremodes.

This third mode of failure is local ablation of the steel drywell liner due to contact with the molten corium."

DESIGN FLAWS, KNOWN ABOUT SINCE SHORTLY AFTER THE BROWNS FERRY ACCIDENT IN 1975!

THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY KNEW THE CORIUM HAD MELTED THROUGH 22 FEET OF CONCRETE IN 15 HOURS AT BROWNS FERRY...AND JAPAN AND TEPCO KNEW THIS AS WELL

STILL, THEY BUILT THIS MONSTROSITY OF A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, OVER A KNOWN FAULT, IN EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI-PRONE COASTAL JAPAN, AND PUT IT RIGHT OVER A MAJOR AQUIFER, THEN FITTED IT WITH A BAD DESIGN IN REACTORS, AND PURPOSELY FAILED TO BUILD A SEA WALL HIGH ENOUGH, OR TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION WHAT THEY WOULD DO IF THEY HAD A BLACKOUT.
AND?
THEY CAN'T FIND THE CORIUM AT DAIICHI BECAUSE IT'S "IN DEEP".
IT HAS DEFINITELY "LEFT THE BUILDING"!

BUT THEY DON'T REALLY PLAN TO START LOOKING FOR IT UNTIL THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ACCIDENT!

"TEPCO has announced that unlike Chernobyl, which is slowly being sealed inside a layer of concrete, they intend to scrap reactor Daiichi 1, 2, 3, and 4.
This makes it particularly critical to understand where the corium is in order to facilitate its eventual removal.
The scrapping process is a long one — it’ll take an estimated 30-40 years to finish, and the company won’t start removing reactor fuel until ten years after the accident.

“This is the current situation… This is Unit No. 1, this shows the lower part of the PCV [primary containment vessel]… Based on the results of research so far… the ‘sand cushion drain’… water is leaking here, which means that this section above there is damaged — so that is highly possible.

Therefore, this is a very big problem, because if this is damaged, then one possibility is that shell attack has happened [see drawing by General Electric].
So the debris in the PCV is doing something bad to this, so we have to take that into consideration for investigation.”

“Unit 2… the water level [in the suppression chamber] and the water level in the torus room is about the same . What that means is that at the bottom [of the S/C], there could be a hole. Not only there, but also there is a pump room and there are other pipings here, so that needs needs to be considered as well when they conduct the investigation.”

“Unit 1… there is little fuel remaining in the core… Fuel debris exists even outside the pedestal. Therefore we give priority to outside pedestal investigation. I talked about suppression chamber earlier, shell attack has happened perhaps — I said that — shell attack in Unit 1 is something like this. Debris may exist around here so… there is some fuel that has penetrated outside the pedestal… If debris is outside the pedestal we can’t reach it, therefore we have to consider opening a side area – it’s very unique… Regarding Unit 2 and 3… in Unit 3 we presume that more fuel than we expected has fallen down to the PCV… we cannot deny the possibility that fuel has gone outside the pedestal.”

THERE IS, HOWEVER, A STILL VALID URL FOR THE FULL PDF OF SUZUKI'S 'PREDENTATION'...FIND THAT <HERE>.

ON PAGE 18, AFTER A LOT OF USELESS CRAP, FIND THIS:

"Basic Research for Decommissioning etc. and Human Resource Program"
WHICH IS NOTHING MORE NOR LESS THAN ANOTHER BUNCH OF USELESS CRAP THAT OFFERS NO SOLUTION WHATSOEVER.

ON PAGE 19, WE BEGIN TO BE INTRODUCED TO A VERY FEW TRUTHS...THAT NOT FOR DECADES WILL IRID ENTER "PHASE 3", WHICH IS SLATED TO BEGIN, BEGIN, MIND YOU, IN 30 TO 40 YEARS!

REMEMBER FROM PREVIOUS BLOGS HERE AT THE TEA ROOM THAT BOTH JAPANESE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS (THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT OWNS 51% OF TEPCO!) AND TEPCO OFFICIALS, AFTER THE FAILED ROBOTS ATTEMPTED TO ASSESS THE REAL DAMAGE, STATED QUITE BLUNTLY THAT THAT 30-40 YEARS MUST BE "REVISED" TO PERHAPS 100 YEARS, WHILE THE WORLD WORKS ON TECHNOLOGY THAT CAN HANDLE THAT MUCH RADIATION AND SURVIVE MORE THAN 5-15 MINUTES!

AND ALL THE GOVERNMENTS WHO HAVE THEIR OWN FUKUSHIMAS IN WAITING SAID, "AMEN, SO LET IT BE WRITTEN, SO LET IT BE DONE...100 YEARS IS FINE WITH US!"

ON PAGE 20, WE'RE SHOWN A DRAWING OF JUST HOW SCREWED WE ARE...THE CORIUM HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!

PAGE 26 SHOWS SOME OF THEIR TOYS, ROBOTICS, ETC, THAT AREN'T WORTH THE MATERIAL THEY'RE MADE OF, THAT OFFER NO SOLUTION WHATSOEVER.

PAGE 27 SHOWS US HOW MANY "PIECES OF INFORMATION" ON HOW THE HELL TO DEAL WITH THIS HAVE BEEN MADE BY JAPAN, THE U.S., THE U.K., RUSSIA, GERMANY, BELARUS, CANADA, AND FRANCE.
WHY THAT WOULD BE IMPORTANT I DON'T KNOW.
MAYBE SUZUKI JUST WANTED TO SHOW HOW MUCH AHEAD OF THE OTHERS JAPAN WAS IN USELESS, EXPENSIVE "INVESTIGATIONS" THAT GOT THEM NOWHERE?

AND HE ALREADY STATED THAT FUEL RETRIEVAL, IF IT CAN BE DONE, WON'T COME FOR DECADES (NOW, 100 YEARS OR MORE).

NEXT IN USELESS INFORMATION...
 "Tasks
~adhesion of radioactive nuclide caused by damaged fuel, seawater component-containing etc.
It has different character from radioactive waste produced by current Nuclear power station, radioactive waste produced by the accident is including the one which rarely process and dispose in Japan."

WELL, DUHHH, THE FUEL HAD SALT WATER DUMPED ON IT, A GREAT BIG NO-NO, WHICH PRODUCED THOSE "BUCKYBALLS" OF PLUTONIUM/URANIUM THAT ARE STILL WHIZZING ACROSS THE OLD PACIFIC HEADED INTO THE U.S. AND HITTING EVERYTHING IN THEIR PATH!

NOBODY KNOWS WHAT ELSE CAN HAPPEN BECAUSE THIS IS A FIRST!

CHERNOBYL, THREE MILE ISLAND, MAYBE EVEN THE HANFORD FACILITY IN WASHINGTON STATE CAN'T TOUCH THIS FOR CONTAMINATION OF PLANET EARTH BECAUSE FUKUSHIMA KEEPS PUMPING OUT DEATH EVERY HOUR OF EVERY DAY!

29 PAGES OF BASICALLY CARTOON DRAWINGS, AND, FORGIVE ME, PURE UNCUT BULLSHIT.

IT IS NOT A MELTDOWN, IT IS A MELT-THROUGH!
THE CORIUM IS DOWN THERE BELOW EVERYTHING ELSE AND SPREADING TO...WHERE? AND WHEN?

JAPAN DOES NOT HAVE A TINY CLUE!
THEY STATE PLAINLY THAT THEY DON'T KNOW, THAT IT'LL MAYBE 100 YEARS OR MORE BEFORE THEY KNOW, THAT IT'LL BE AT LEAST 10 YEARS BEFORE THEY PRETEND TO GIVE A DAMN, AND THE PEOPLE OF EARTH GO..."OH, OKAY."

100 YEARS FROM NOW?
WHO THE HELL WILL BE AROUND TO SEE WHAT THEY DO IN 100 YEARS?

CERTAINLY NOT MARINE LIFE IN THE PACIFIC, NOT AFTER 100 YEARS OF TEPCO CONSTANTLY PUMPING THEIR WASTEWATER INTO THE OCEAN THEY ALL HAVE TO TRY TO LIVE IN!
MARINE LIFE, FROM PLANKTON TO POLAR BEARS AND GREAT WHALES ARE DYING BY THE MILLIONS, ABOUT 200 SPECIES ALREADY FADING OUT!

CERTAINLY NOT THE PEOPLE OF JAPAN!
NO WAY CAN THEY SURVIVE UNDER RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT AND WATER AND CROP CONTAMINATION FOR 100 YEARS!

WHO WILL BE HERE TO EVEN BEGIN THE CLEANUP IN 100 YEARS?
NOT EVEN THEIR DAMNED USELESS LITTLE ROBOT TOYS!

THE TOWERS WILL HAVE ALL FALLEN LONG BEFORE EVEN THAT 30-40  YEARS ESTIMATE!
HERE'S WHERE THE HYDRAZINE I MENTIONED AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS BLOG COMES IN...

THE INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF RADIATION AT DAIICHI WREAKS HAVOC ON ANY MATERIAL IN THAT FACILITY.
THEY HAVE BEEN AND CONTINUE TO USE HYDRAZINE TO SLOW DOWN THE CORROSION PROCESS SO THE WHOLE DAMNED THING DOESN'T FALL DOWN AROUND THEIR EARS!

HYDRAZINE!

HYDRAZINE IS SO TOXIC TO HUMANS THAT IN 2008 THE U.S. GOVERNMENT SHOT DOWN A "SPY SATELLITE" RATHER THAN LET IT FALL NATURALLY BACK TO EARTH BECAUSE IT WAS PACKING A VERY LARGE AMOUNT OF HYDRAZINE...ITS FUEL.

Hydrazine has been well identified as a toxic chemical harmful to humans and the environment. Japan has had their own reporting rules for hydrazine use since 2006. Any use, even small amounts are subject to mitigation efforts and must be documented. The rules require closed tanks and measures to reduce releases.
Hydrazine is considered a dangerous chemical, Some of the health problems it can create:
Symptoms of acute (short-term) exposure to high levels of hydrazine may include irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat, dizziness, headache, nausea, pulmonary edemaseizurescoma in humans. Acute exposure can also damage the liverkidneys, and central nervous system. The liquid is corrosive and may produce dermatitis from skin contact in humans and animals. Effects to the lungs, liver, spleen, and thyroid have been reported in animals chronically exposed to hydrazine via inhalation. Increased incidences of lung, nasal cavity, and liver tumors have been observed in rodents exposed to hydrazine..
It is also toxic to the marine environment above certain concentrations.

Since the water injected into the reactor vessels eventually mixes with groundwater and to some extent still leaks to the ocean, this is another potential release to the environment. TEPCO reports the use of hydrazine and the intention to continue to use it through September in their new report. They also confirm the use of the chemical in all four spent fuel pools.

I MANAGED, BARELY, NOT TO DESPISE SUZUKI WHEN HE SAID,

“The level of damage is high so it may not be able to stop water… and it may not be possible to fully cover the fuel debris. In such a case innovative approaches could be considered.”

"INNOVATIVE APPROACHES COULD BE CONSIDERED?"
SHUT UP!!!
JUST SHUT UP!

FUKUSHIMA'S DAIICHI SITUATION MUST BE TORN FROM JAPAN'S GRIP!

THEY HAVE NO PLANS TO DO ANYTHING NEW, BUT WILL KEEP DUMPING AND PUMPING THEIR VERSION OF DEATH INTO OUR ENVIRONMENT UNTIL THEY FALL DEAD FROM THE RADIATION...AND WE WILL DIE WITH THEM, IF THEY ARE NOT STOPPED.

I AM SICK OF HAVING TO SCOUR NEWS SOURCES FROM OUTSIDE THE U.S. TO FIND VALID, OR ANY, UPDATES ON THIS NIGHTMARE.
OUR MAINSTREAM MEDIA, CORPORATE AMERICA'S PAID WHORES, DON'T HAVE THE BACKBONE TO REPORT ANYTHING THAT WOULD GIVE AMERICANS A CHANCE, A HOPE OF TAKING ACTION TO SAVE THEIR HEALTH, THEIR LIVES.

OUR CONGRESS HAS NO INTENTION OF FORCING THIS ISSUE.

OUR 'LEADERS' JUST AGREED TO HELP IRAN COME ONLINE AS A NUCLEAR NATION, BUT, BYALLTHEGODS, THOSE SAME LEADERS FAIL TO TAKE ANY INITIATIVE ON THE FUKUSHIMA CATASTROPHE, AND WON'T EVEN PROVIDE US WITH DECENT MONITORING SITES.
ALL OF THIS SHOWS ME ONE THING....
MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT TO NUCLEAR NATIONS THAN THEIR CITIZENS.

I HOPE THEY PAY A HIGH PRICE FOR THEIR TREASON, FOR TURNING THEIR BACKS AND IGNORING THIS, AND SACRIFICING US ALL FOR PROFITS!

UNLESS THEY HAVE A VERY DEEP HOLE TO CRAWL INTO, THEY WILL PAY THAT PRICE.
